Moderation and hosting at the European Peptide Drug Summit 2026
The European Peptide Drug Summit 2026 took place on 14 and 15 October 2026 at the Munich Airport Marriott Hotel in Freising near Munich. The international conference organiser IQ-HUB booked a hostess from eventas for the conference. During the assignment the role grew: Vanessa took on the moderation in front of an international professional audience in addition to hosting.
This combination is often in demand at professional conferences: a friendly face who welcomes and looks after guests, and at the same time a person who guides the audience through the programme on stage.
The tasks: hosting, registration and guest care
The hosting part focused on guest care and customer service: the registration desk, support for speakers and exhibitors, help with the setup, and guiding and ushering guests on site. At a multi-day conference with international attendees, these processes decide whether the first impression is right.
Moderation came on top: welcoming the audience, transitions and announcements in the programme. This is a different job from classic hosting and calls for stage experience, confidence on the microphone and the ability to lead an audience in a foreign language.
