Walking act for CANNA at Mary Jane Berlin 2026

Mary Jane Berlin is regarded as Europe's largest cannabis trade fair and celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2026. It took place from 11 to 14 June 2026 at Messe Berlin. According to media reports, more than 500 exhibitors and around 75,000 visitors were expected.

CANNA provides products for healthy plants, including fertilisers and substrates. For CANNA Deutschland GmbH, eventas provided a walking act at the fair: a gorilla in CANNA gear moving freely on and around the exhibition grounds. A team of brand ambassadors joined the assignment.

What is a walking act at a trade fair?

A walking act is a mobile appearance without a stage: a costumed character or performer moves freely across the grounds, draws attention and leads visitors to the brand. Unlike a fixed stand, a walking act comes to the people. A costumed character stands out from a distance and provides motifs for photos and social media.

The team: 8 brand ambassadors and 5 performers in rotation

eventas was on site for CANNA with a team of eight brand ambassadors. In addition, five performers took turns wearing the different gorilla costumes. The rotation model has a practical advantage: nobody can walk in a costume for many hours in a row. With several performers, the character stays ready for action even on long trade fair days.
